About me

I hold a Master’s in Translation Studies from the University of Antwerp (1998).

In 2000, I started working as an office manager in the investment division of a Belgian bank in Madrid. After that, I worked for various different companies in the Spanish asset management industry.

After seven years, I decided to put this experience to good use and began my career as a freelance translator, specialising in fund factsheets, prospects, key investor information documents (KIIDs), shareholder notices, fund reviews and financial market analysis.

I’m a steadfast believer in continued learning and in 2016 I took a translation course which specialises in the asset management industry.

With fintech companies coming of age, more recently I started to offer translation and localisation services for this niche industry.

I’ve delivered Dutch translations of digital marketing content and corporate policies for a number of leading fintechs. I also localise website and app content.

I’ll keep on learning and studying in the years to come as things continuously evolve and change, especially in the fast-growing fintech business. But that is exactly what I love to do and why I do what I do!
